TRIAL CONSULTANT

Criminal Law Trial Consultant

Sometimes it takes a non-attorney to bring a different perspective to a case. That’s why we have a trial consultant as part of our Criminal Defense team. Celeste Daly chose to go to business school rather than law school, and because of that, she brings unique insight, experience, education and skills to the table for our clients.

With an MBA in Strategic Planning from the University of Minnesota, a highly ranked graduate school, and diverse, real world experience, Celeste has special expertise in jury selection, expert witnesses, and development and communication of theories of defense

Jury Selection

Celeste has selected numerous juries. Knowing it’s not what you ask, but how you ask it, she’s a specialist at crafting questions to uncover the ideal jurors and those that might find it difficult to be impartial in a particular case. Her subtle questions in one case caused so many potential jurors to admit biases that a jury couldn’t be selected from that group, a rare event in the state of Maine.

Experts to Assist With Your Case

In cases that require it, Celeste has selected and worked with nationally recognized experts in areas as diverse as DNA analysis, fiber analysis, blood spatter patterns, forensic pathology, and child abuse. She is skilled at absorbing and translating complex technical information into penetrating cross examination questions to weaken the prosecution’s experts and to spell out an issue precisely for the jury.

Helping Our Clients Be Successful

Involved in multiple trials, including murder and child abuse, Celeste works with George Hess, Trial Attorney, to develop and communicate the defense theories of the case. This includes working on opening statements, closing arguments, trial themes and trial strategies. (To learn more about our defense team, see Why Choose The Hess Law Firm)

Celeste is a former member of American Society of Trial Consultants (ASTC).

Because Experience Matters.
